The Frick is Coming Back

The Frick

After an extensive transformation led by Selldorf Architects, the Frick Collection will unveil its newly revitalized historic home on April 17, 2025, inviting visitors back to its iconic 1 East 70th Street location.

This project has revitalized the 19th-century mansion, enhancing gallery spaces and, for the first time, granting public access to the second floor, which previously housed private family quarters.

Visitors can anticipate a refreshed experience that maintains the museum's intimate ambiance while showcasing masterpieces by artists such as Vermeer, Goya, and Titian. The renovation also introduces new exhibition areas and a 220-seat auditorium, enriching the cultural offerings of the institution.

For those planning to visit, we are in close proximity to the Frick Collection. Located at 28 East 63rd Street, The Lowell is approximately a 10-minute walk from the museum, making it an ideal choice for art enthusiasts seeking convenience and comfort during their stay in New York City. Whether you are booked for a stay at The Lowell or simply exploring the neighborhood, be sure to make a memorable day of your visit to the Frick Collection this spring.

After a morning immersed in artistic masterpieces, complement your experience with our exquisite Lily of the Valley Afternoon Tea—a refined and elegant way to conclude your cultural excursion. Savor delicate pastries, fragrant teas, and impeccable service in an intimate setting, creating an unforgettable day on the Upper East Side.

Tickets for the Frick Collection's reopening will be available starting March 3, 2025, with members enjoying early access.

This reopening marks a significant moment for art lovers worldwide, offering renewed opportunities to engage with one of the city's cultural treasures.
